How to Prepare Triple Almond Cookies
  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and sifted powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Step 3: Add the vegetable or canola oil and eggs, one at a time, mixing until fully blended. Then, mix in the almond extract.
  4. Step 4: In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.
  5. Step 5: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Gently fold in the sliced almonds and almond toffee bits.
  7. Step 7: Portion out the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Step 8: Roll each cookie ball in additional sugar before baking.
