Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 dashes hot red pepper sauce
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced (white and green parts)

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Hand Mixer or Fork
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • Serving Dish

Method

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Chop the sun-dried tomatoes into small pieces and slice the green onions.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Using a hand mixer or a fork, mix until the ingredients are well blended and smooth.
  3. Add the kosher salt, black pepper, and hot red pepper sauce to the cream cheese mixture. Mix well to ensure that all the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  4. Gently fold in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and sliced green onions using a spatula. Be careful not to overmix; you want to maintain the lovely texture of the tomatoes and the crunch from the green onions.
  5. Transfer the dip to your serving dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Serve chilled with an array of dippers.

Notes

  • Consider using low-fat cream cheese for a lighter option.
  • Greek yogurt can substitute sour cream for a tangier kick.
  • Roasted red peppers are a great alternative if you don't have sun-dried tomatoes.
