Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup milk whole milk preferred
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese divided
  • 2 tbsp shredded Parmesan cheese for topping
  • 1 tsp Gourmet Garden Garlic
  • 1 tsp Gourmet Garden Oregano
  • 1 tsp Gourmet Garden Parsley
  • 1 tsp Gourmet Garden Basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
  3. Pour in the milk and vegetable oil (or melted butter). Add the Gourmet Garden garlic, oregano, parsley, and basil. Stir until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in 1/4 cup of the shredded Parmesan cheese, reserving the remaining 2 tablespoons for topping.
  5. Scoop out portions of the dough and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese over the tops of the biscuits.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
  8. Once baked, let the biscuits cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use melted butter instead of vegetable oil.
  • Shape biscuits using a spoon or your hands for a rustic look.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
