Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup peppermint candy, crushed
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • a few drops red gel food coloring
  • to taste whipped cream
  • to taste maraschino cherries

Method
 

  1. Gather all of your ingredients and gear for a smoother process.
  2. In your blender, combine the 4 cups of vanilla ice cream and 1 cup of milk. Blend on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add in the ½ cup of crushed peppermint candy, ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a few drops of red gel food coloring. Blend again until well incorporated.
  4. Taste your milkshake and adjust the peppermint or chocolate levels if desired.
  5. Pour the milkshake into serving glasses, and top generously with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.

Notes

  • For a thicker shake, use less milk; for a thinner consistency, add more milk.
  • Chill your glasses in the freezer prior to serving for an extra frosty experience.
  • For a fun twist, blend in a scoop of chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla.
