Ingredients

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (almond, soy, or oat)
  • 1-2 cups baby spinach
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon flax seeds
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 handful ice (optional)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Glass or mason jar

Method

  1. Begin by measuring out all your ingredients. This will streamline the blending process and ensure that everything is ready to go.
  2. In your blender, combine the non-dairy milk and baby spinach. Blend on high until the spinach is completely broken down and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Next, add the frozen banana, peanut butter, flax seeds, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to the blender. If you’re opting for extra chill, add a handful of ice as well.
  4. Now, include the scoop of vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, and rolled oats. These ingredients will enhance the nutritional value and texture of your smoothie.
  5. Blend everything together on high until you achieve a creamy, smooth consistency. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides as needed to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated.
  6. Once blended, taste your smoothie. If you want a sweeter flavor, feel free to add a touch more peanut butter or another half banana.
  7. Pour your Peanut Butter Vanilla Green Smoothie into a glass or mason jar. You can garnish it with extra chia seeds or oats on top if desired. Enjoy it immediately for the best flavor and texture!

Notes

  • Pre-portion all your ingredients in a freezer bag and freeze for a quick blend in the morning.
  • Store leftover smoothie in an airtight container for up to 24 hours; shake before enjoying.
  • Customize sweetness with more banana or a drizzle of honey.
