Ingredients

For the Oatmeal:
  • 2 very ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter creamy or crunchy
  • 3 cups milk dairy or plant-based
  • 3 tablespoons Truvia Brown Sugar Blend
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons flax seed
  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
For Topping:
  • 1 banana sliced fresh for topping
  • to taste Truvia Brown Sugar Baking Blend for topping

Equipment

  • Crockpot
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing bowl
  • Masher
  • Serving spoon

Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Peel the bananas and place them in a mixing bowl. Using a masher, mash the bananas until smooth.
  2. Step 2: Mix It All Together. Add the peanut butter, milk, Truvia Brown Sugar Blend, cinnamon, vanilla, flax seed, and steel-cut oats to the bowl with the mashed bananas. Stir well until everything is thoroughly combined.
  3. Step 3: Transfer to the Crockpot. Pour the mixture into your crockpot, ensuring it’s evenly spread out.
  4. Step 4: Set the Heat. Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6-8 hours. If you’re short on time, you can set it on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Step 5: Serve and Enjoy. Once the oatmeal is cooked, give it a good stir. Serve warm, topping each bowl with additional sliced bananas and a sprinkle of Truvia Brown Sugar Baking Blend for that extra touch of sweetness.
