Ingredients
  

For the Twists:
  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 1 cup pesto store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 each egg beaten, for egg wash

  • Rolling Pin
  • Pastry Brush
  • Knife or pizza cutter

Method
 

Preparation Steps:
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. If your puff pastry is too thick, roll it out to about ¼ inch thickness.
  4. Spread a generous layer of pesto on one sheet of puff pastry.
  5. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the pesto.
  6. Using a knife or pizza cutter, slice the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide.
  7. Twist each strip a few times, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Apply the beaten egg wash over each twist.
  9. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the twists are golden brown.
  10. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • To rewarm, place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
  • Experiment with different cheeses or pesto varieties to customize your twists!
