One-Pot Chicken Parmesan Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken breasts Boneless and skinless
  • 1 Tbsp herb and garlic seasoning A fragrant blend
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil For sautéing
  • 8 oz campanelle pasta (or mini shells)
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce (24 oz)
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes For heat
  • 1 cup grated parmesan divided
  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs For topping
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter Adds richness
  • 1 tsp garlic powder For extra flavor
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Chicken - Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Step 2: Season the Chicken - Toss the chicken pieces with the herb and garlic seasoning.
  3. Step 3: Sauté the Chicken - Heat olive oil in a large pot, add chicken, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Add Pasta and Sauce - Add pasta, spaghetti sauce, and water. Stir to combine.
  5. Step 5: Season the Mixture - Add red pepper flakes and bring to a boil.
  6. Step 6: Cook the Pasta - Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until pasta is al dente.
  7. Step 7: Prepare the Topping - Combine panko bread crumbs, melted butter, garlic powder, and half of the parmesan.
  8. Step 8: Add Cheese and Topping - Stir in remaining parmesan and mozzarella. Sprinkle panko mixture on top.
  9. Step 9: Broil for a Crispy Finish - Broil for 2-3 minutes until topping is golden.
  10. Step 10: Serve and Enjoy - Spoon into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat with a splash of water to keep moist.
  • You can freeze before adding cheese topping for later use.
