Ingredients
  

For the Cake Base:
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter softened
  • 2 large eggs divided
For the Cream Cheese Filling:
  • 3 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 block cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Grease your 9x13-inch baking pan lightly with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, softened butter, and 2 of the eggs. Beat until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Pour the batter into the greased pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Step 5: In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the remaining 2 eggs, confectioners sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt. Mix until creamy.
  6. Step 6: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake base and spread evenly.
  7. Step 7: Bake for 30-35 minutes until the edges are set with a slight jiggle in the center.
  8. Step 8: Cool completely on a wire rack, cut into squares, and serve.
