Ingredients

  • 12 tablespoons butter provides richness and a smooth texture
  • 2 1/3 cups evaporated milk contributes to creamy consistency
  • 3 cups granulated sugar sweetens the fudge and helps it set
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract adds depth of flavor
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips offers a rich chocolate flavor
  • 7 ounces marshmallow cream enhances creaminess

Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • 9x9 inch baking dish
  • Parchment paper
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Kitchen thermometer (optional)

Method

  1. Line your 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until completely melted.
  3. Stir in the evaporated milk and granulated sugar. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Increase the heat slightly and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips and marshmallow cream until melted and smooth.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  7. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  8. Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature until fully set, or refrigerate to speed up the process.
  9. Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.

Notes

  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
  • Wrap individual pieces in plastic wrap and freeze for up to three months.
  • Microwave gently if you prefer warm fudge, but avoid overheating.
