Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly grease your loaf pan with coconut oil or line it with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the melted coconut oil, coconut sugar, and applesauce until well combined. Add the lightly beaten eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
Stir in the mashed bananas into the wet mixture until fully combined.
Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients using a spatula, being careful not to overmix.
Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, reserving a few for the top if desired.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. If using, place the halved banana on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
