Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter (softened)
  • 2 slices bread (of your choice)
  • 2 slices pepper jack cheese (or any sliced cheese you love)

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe plate
  • Butter knife
  • Microwave
  • Paper towel

Method

  1. Start by spreading the softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on your microwave-safe plate. Layer the cheese on top and then cover it with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  3. To avoid a soggy sandwich, place a paper towel underneath the plate.
  4. Microwave your sandwich on high for about 30 seconds. If it’s not fully melted, continue microwaving in 10-second intervals until gooey.
  5. Once the cheese is melted, carefully remove the plate from the microwave and let your sandwich sit for a minute.
  6. Cut your sandwich in half, and enjoy the melty goodness.

Notes

  • Experiment with different types of cheese for variety.
  • Use thinner bread for even melting.
  • Pre-assemble and store sandwiches for quick meals.
