Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings: 8 servings
Course: Dip
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 8 oz whipped cream cheese (this comes in a tub)
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 oz dry ranch dressing mix (typically 1 packet)
  • 1 bunch cilantro leaves
  • 4 pieces fresh jalapeños (stems removed, sliced, and seeded)
  • 1 unit lime

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Food processor or blender
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Start by assembling all the ingredients listed above. Ensuring you have everything on hand will make the process smooth and enjoyable.
  2. Carefully slice the jalapeños, removing the seeds and stems. If you prefer a milder dip, make sure to remove all the seeds, as they contain most of the heat.
  3. In a food processor or blender, combine the whipped cream cheese, sour cream, dry ranch dressing mix, cilantro leaves, sliced jalapeños, and the juice of one lime. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Once blended, taste your dip. If you prefer it spicier, feel free to add more jalapeños or a squeeze of lime for extra acidity.
  5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, cover it, and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully. Serve with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or even spread on sandwiches!
