  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup brown rice flour
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee or ground cinnamon optional

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your brownies bake evenly.
  2. Step 2: Grease your 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  3. Step 3: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Allow it to cool slightly before mixing in the sweetener.
  4. Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, maple syrup or brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Step 5: In a separate bowl, sift together the brown rice flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and optional coffee or cinnamon.
  6. Step 6: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Step 7: Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips, reserving some for sprinkling on top if desired.
  8. Step 8: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
