Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (217g)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (60g)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar (400g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (237ml)
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (340g), divided

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Spatula
  • 9x13 inch baking pan
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your brownies bake evenly.
  2. Grease your 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  3. In your mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vegetable oil to the dry mixture. Whisk until everything is fully incorporated and the batter is smooth.
  5. Gently fold in 1 cup of the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, using your spatula to spread it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of chocolate chips over the top of the batter for that extra gooey finish.
  8. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. You want the edges to look set, but the center should still be slightly soft.
  9. Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing into squares. Enjoy your Fudgy One Bowl Brownies warm or at room temperature!
