Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Bars:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Frosting:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract for frosting
  • 1 cup Rainbow sprinkles for decorating

Method
 

Baking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Grease your 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Step 3: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  4. Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  5. Step 5: Add the cream cheese and mix until smooth.
  6. Step 6: Add the egg and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
  7. Step 7: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  8. Step 8: Spread the dough into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Step 9: Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  10. Step 10: Beat the softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth for the frosting.
