Ingredients
  

  • 1 8-ounce boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1/3 cup milk (any percentage)
  • 1/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 ounces fettuccine noodles
  • 1 1/2 cups your favorite red sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: Place the chicken breast between two sheets of parchment paper or plastic wrap and pound it to an even thickness, about 1 inch.
  3. Step 3: In one bowl, pour the milk. In another bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Step 4: Dip the flattened chicken breast into the milk, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Step 5: Place the coated chicken breast in your baking dish and bake for about 20 minutes.
  6. Step 6: While the chicken is baking, prepare the fettuccine noodles according to package instructions.
  7. Step 7: Once the chicken is done, pour the red sauce over it, sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan, and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  8. Step 8: Serve the cheesy chicken over fettuccine noodles and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use chicken thighs if you prefer dark meat.
  • Mix in Italian herbs like basil or oregano for added flavor.
  • Substitute panko with gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
