Cooking Instructions:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef chuck. Season with salt and pepper. Use a wooden spoon to break up the meat as it cooks, allowing it to brown evenly. This should take about 5 minutes.
- Once the beef is browned, add the chopped celery, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir well and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, white distilled vinegar, ketchup, canned tomatoes (or tomato sauce), and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until the ingredients are well blended.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked beef and vegetables in the skillet. Stir to combine all the ingredients thoroughly. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld together.
- Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture onto hamburger buns and serve immediately. Enjoy the messy goodness!
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
