Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Equipment

  • Muffin Tin
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Spoon
  • Oven

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, and milk until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients. Gently stir until just combined; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Set it aside.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
