Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 tablespoons butter softened
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips mini chocolate chips recommended

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk.
  7. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-65 minutes.
  9. Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.

Notes

  • Make the batter a day ahead and refrigerate.
  • Freeze wrapped tightly for up to 3 months.
  • Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
