  • Butter as required by the Rice-a-Roni package
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5-oz
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 2 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls 8-oz
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls 4-oz

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Oven mitts

Method

  1. Start by cooking the Chicken Rice-a-Roni according to the package instructions. Set aside once done.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, ½ cup of milk, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, 1 tablespoon of milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Unroll the crescent rolls on a clean surface. Place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle and roll the dough around the filling.
  5. Arrange the roll-ups on a baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed.
  6. While the roll-ups are baking, fluff the cooked Chicken Rice-a-Roni with a fork. Serve the roll-ups hot over a generous scoop of the rice.
