Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup small diced dill pickles
  • 1/4 cup small diced bread and butter pickles
  • 1/4 cup small diced peeled yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup (optional)
  • to taste coarse salt and freshly cracked pepper for seasoning

Method
 

  1. Gather your ingredients. Having everything ready will make the mixing process smoother.
  2. Dice the dill pickles, bread and butter pickles, and yellow onion into small, uniform pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, distilled white vinegar, and Dijon mustard. Mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in the diced dill pickles, bread and butter pickles, and yellow onion into the mayonnaise mixture.
  5. Add sugar and optional ketchup, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  7. Chill the sauce in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Make the sauce up to 3 days in advance for convenience.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Stir well before serving as ingredients may settle.
