  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley
  • Kosher salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 large lemon (cut into wedges)

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the broiler. This will ensure that your tilapia fillets cook evenly and develop a lovely golden color.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the garlic mixture. In a small bowl, combine the crushed garlic, extra virgin olive oil, dried oregano, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a fragrant marinade.
  3. Step 3: Prepare the tilapia. Place the tilapia fillets on a broiler pan lined with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Brush the garlic mixture generously over the fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Step 4: Broil the fish. Position the broiler pan about 6 inches away from the heating element. Broil the tilapia for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  5. Step 5: Flip and finish cooking. After 3-4 minutes, use a fish spatula to gently flip the fillets over. Broil for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
