  • 20 medium Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2.5 tablespoons Olive Oil for sautéing
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Onion Powder optional
  • 0.25 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 squeeze Lime optional

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Start by ensuring your shrimp are peeled and deveined. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the ground cumin, chili powder, onion powder (if using), and kosher salt.
  3. Heat 1 ½ tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  5. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and sprinkle the spice mixture over them. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
  6. Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully cooked through. Remove from heat.
  7. If desired, squeeze fresh lime juice over the shrimp before serving.

Notes

  • Enjoy over rice, in tacos, or on a bed of greens.
  • For extra heat, add more chili powder or jalapeños.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
