- Start by ensuring your shrimp are peeled and deveined. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, combine the ground cumin, chili powder, onion powder (if using), and kosher salt.
- Heat 1 ½ tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and sprinkle the spice mixture over them. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
- Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully cooked through. Remove from heat.
- If desired, squeeze fresh lime juice over the shrimp before serving.
Notes
- Enjoy over rice, in tacos, or on a bed of greens.
- For extra heat, add more chili powder or jalapeños.
