Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 steaks ribeye (1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste Kosher salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1.5 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • 1.5 teaspoons fresh parsley

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Meat thermometer
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp Knife

Method

Instructions
  1. Start by taking the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and letting them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps them cook evenly.
  2. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels, then rub them with olive oil. Season both sides generously with kosher salt and black pepper. Don’t be shy; this is what builds flavor!
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating ensures that the steak gets a nice sear as soon as it hits the basket.
  4. Place the seasoned ribeye steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Adjust the time if you prefer your steak more or less done.
  5. While the steaks are cooking, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, thyme, and parsley. Stir until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
  6. Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute. Drizzle the garlic herb butter over the steaks before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure steaks are at room temperature before cooking for even doneness.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check for perfect doneness; 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  • Leftover steak can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
