Instructions
- Start by taking the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and letting them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps them cook evenly.
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels, then rub them with olive oil. Season both sides generously with kosher salt and black pepper. Don’t be shy; this is what builds flavor!
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating ensures that the steak gets a nice sear as soon as it hits the basket.
- Place the seasoned ribeye steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, flipping halfway through. Adjust the time if you prefer your steak more or less done.
- While the steaks are cooking, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, thyme, and parsley. Stir until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute. Drizzle the garlic herb butter over the steaks before serving.
Notes
- Ensure steaks are at room temperature before cooking for even doneness.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for perfect doneness; 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- Leftover steak can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
