Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh broccoli florets cut into small, even pieces
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh lemon slices optional garnish
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese optional garnish

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or tongs
  • Measuring Spoons

Method

  1. Start by washing your fresh broccoli florets thoroughly under cold water. After rinsing, cut them into small, even pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the broccoli florets along with the extra-virgin olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Toss everything together until the florets are evenly coated in the oil and seasonings.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned broccoli in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry the broccoli for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  5. After about 8 minutes, check the broccoli for doneness. If you prefer them crispier, feel free to add an extra 1-2 minutes.
  6. Once done, carefully remove the broccoli from the air fryer and transfer it to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh lemon slices and a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicy version, add red pepper flakes to the seasoning.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes to regain crispiness.
