  • 6 pounds Pickled Jalapeños
  • 5 cups Sugar

Method
 

Directions
  1. Start by draining the pickled jalapeños to remove excess liquid. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a large pot, combine the drained jalapeños and five cups of sugar. Stir well to coat every slice in sugar.
  3. Place the pot over medium heat. Stir continuously as the sugar dissolves, forming a syrup.
  4. Once the sugar has dissolved, reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and let cool slightly. Transfer the jalapeños into a clean jar and pour the syrup over them.
  6. Let them sit for at least 24 hours before using to allow the flavors to meld.

  • Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for freshness.
