- Start by draining the pickled jalapeños to remove excess liquid. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a large pot, combine the drained jalapeños and five cups of sugar. Stir well to coat every slice in sugar.
- Place the pot over medium heat. Stir continuously as the sugar dissolves, forming a syrup.
- Once the sugar has dissolved, reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the pot from heat and let cool slightly. Transfer the jalapeños into a clean jar and pour the syrup over them.
- Let them sit for at least 24 hours before using to allow the flavors to meld.
